Genotyping will be performed on
the ABI 3130 Genetic Analyzer. It is a capillary electrophoresis
system (as opposed to the gel based system of the ABI 377) that is
capable of running 4 colors with an internal size standard in every
sample. The 3130 injects 16 samples at one time, with the capacity
to run two 96 well plates. Average run time per injection is 25 minutes.
The 3130 can also run five colors, for a nominal additional cost.
Pricing:
- $1.50
per injection (<5 loci) if
client provides side standard.
- $2.00 per injection (<5 loci) if we provide side standard.
- Genotyper analysis can be performed at no additional charge.
- Please bring clearly labeled samples (0.5 - 1.5 µL) in
PCR strip tubes or in 96-well plates.
